Khouri's Sewing Machine Fund

For my birthday, in lieu of traditional gifts, I am asking anyone who would be interested in sending something my way INSTEAD to donate moneys towards my purchase of a new sewing machine. I do not currently own a machine (and have instead been borrowing an old 1950's machine that's half-broken), but as my interest in all things sewing (costumes, fashion design, costume design, repairs, tailoring, crafts and home decor) has grown, I would like to have a reliable machine so I can turn my hobby into a side-career.
